We caught up with Brit Brit shopping for Christmas gifts at the Americana at Brand in Glendale (their version of The Grove) this Saturday with manager Larry Rudolph and her bodyguards in tow. Later she got her nails done at Chinois Beaute Bar in Studio City…

He explained the tour is to be based on Britney’s upcoming album The Circus, released on Monday.

The London dates will be Spears’ only European shows “for the foreseeable future”, Hallett added.

Britney has been working her butt off (literally) in preparation for her much-anticipated comeback. She’s the first to admit that getting her pre-baby body back hasn’t been easy. Although she says she used to be obsessed with working out, she tells Glamour that going to the gym “isn’t fun…so to do it every day would be horrible. Three days a week is cool, even two. It makes me feel good and feel like I’ve done something.” Regardless of how much time she spends sweating, she looks smokin’. The singer can thank a grueling dance-rehearsal schedule and a personal trainer for her new look, but you don’t need big bucks to steal Britney’s big-time transformation. Despite all her recent troubles, Britney smiled liked she didn’t have a care in the world and looked ready to embark on her upcoming tour.

Earlier in the day, the singer’s mum LYNNE SPEARS told GMTV: “I think Britney is just ready to get started again. This is when she’s most in her element.” 

The beauty rest has done her well: In a Hollywood recording studio in September, dressed in black jeans, platform heels and a bedazzled hoodie, Spears looks more like her former self than she has in years. She has makeup on, but it’s faded just enough that it could be yesterday’s. She says she’s considering lopping off the weave she’s worn since shaving her head in 2007, and when she counts up her tattoos — “Seven! Oh, my God, y’all!” — she falls back into the couch giggling, kicking her feet in the air.

Spears has always been like this: silly, sweet, humble. She has never been very articulate, but she always tries to be accommodating. Tonight, she’s listening to mixes and finishing work on a track called “Lace and Leather.” When I ask how she knows if a song is going to be a hit, she says, “You just hear it, and you’re like, oh, my God, if somebody else takes this song, you’re gonna kill yourself, you know what I mean? Like, this one I’m doing tonight, I think it’s good, and it’s, like, really quirky and different and girly.”

“A little naughty,” says her manager, Larry Rudolph, 45, sitting nearby in a T-shirt and jeans.

“A little naugh-tay,” Spears agrees, sounding half-embarrassed.

Spears is scheduled to appear on The X Factor this weekend

US singer Britney Spears is to play two concerts at the O2 arena in London next June – the only European shows on her forthcoming world tour.

Tickets for the dates on 3 and 4 June will go on general sale on 5 December – although fans who register with her website can buy them 24 hours earlier.

“It’s going to be very special,” said Rob Hallett of tour promoter AEG.

The concert, he said, would take its theme from her latest album The Circus, which is released next week.

“We’re creating a musical circus,” he said. “Expect to see jugglers, dancers, tattooed ladies and acrobats.”

According to the promoter, the concerts will be Spears’ only dates in Europe “for the foreseeable future”.

Spears last performed in the UK in 2004 when her Onyx Hotel tour visited Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester and Wembley Arena in London.
